Garbage, organics and recycling collection is on a fixed-day schedule. This means that your waste will be picked up on the same day every week, except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Waste must be out by 7:30 a.m. on your collection day.

Putting out your waste

Recycling is picked up every week. Organics and waste are collected every two weeks on a rotating schedule. One week, organics and recycling will be picked up; the next week, waste and recycling will be picked up. Your calendar will let you know what is being picked up each week.

Waste collection is on fixed days. If your collection day is Monday, it will always be on Monday, even on statutory holidays. The only time this will change is when your collection day lands on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

Organics are collected weekly during the summer months in designated areas.
